What is there to do in Santa Fe, New Mexico besides go to museums?

My friend and I are taking a trip to Santa Fe this summer, near the end of July, and I am trying to figure out fun things to do besides go to museums. I really like museums, but I can’t go to one everyday we are there or I will die of eventual boredom. Any input would be much appreciate.

It really depends what you like to do. There are the artsy things like the galleries and museums you mentioned, there are expensive shops on the Plaza and resturaunts, the Santa Fe Opera which is outdoors will be having performances during the summer. There are some nightclubs too.
If you are into outdoor activities, there is river rafting, hiking, backpacking, camping, etc. Also there are 19 Indian Pueblos, most within a two hour drive or less, one only 10 minutes outside of SF. Many of the Pueblos have dances during the summer so check the visitors bureau to get phone #’s for the pueblos. Several of the pueblos own casinos, so there are a few within a short drive…some of them even have shuttle service. Check out the visitor website at santafe.org
With that said, there is much more to do in Albuquerque because it is a much bigger city. It is only a 45 minute drive from SF.
