It’s going to take about 3 hours of driving, not including the stops. I personally think you want to stop at every little community on the Turquoise Trail. Everyone is really neat, in their own way. My favorites are Cerrillos and Madrid. They have some really great restaurants and also some fine art galleries. The drive is spectacular. Ask about the Ortiz mine when you are in Cerrillos - there are many yarns about that gold mine.
