Where is a fun place to ring in the new year in Santa Fe? I am with a group of friends in late twenties…most are married or dating someone.

The three sites above will allow you to pick an informed decision on just what you wish to do on New Yeads Eve & Day.

Good luck and hapy partying.

If you want something uniquely Santa Fe, have dinner somewhere on the Plaza, then head up to Canyon road to ring in the new year.

Normally, Canyon Road is Santa Fe’s premiere art gallery venue; but on New Year’s Eve it will be closed to auto traffic, and locals will have ’stations’ set up at which they pass out hot mulled cider and spiced wine. A general air of relaxed festivity prevails, creating an energy you won’t find elsewhere in the country. It’s a great mix of locals, tourists, young and old. You’ll feel very welcome, and I guarantee you’ll make new friends. I’d be surprised if you don’t get invited to someone’s after-party (I always do), because that’s normal procedure in Santa Fe.

I’ve spent my New Years this way a number of times, and I always came away appreciating the warmth of the people of this town.

Enjoy your trip, and have a happy new year!
