I’m going to New Mexico this weekend, and I have never been there before. I will be in Albuquerque, Santa Fe, and Ruidoso. Any suggestions on where to eat?

We live in New York but will be spending Christmas with his family in Tucson, AZ. After Christmas, we want to take a little trip up to New Mexico together for New Year’s. Neither of us has ever been there. I know it’s the “off season” but we don’t mind that. Just looking for some suggestions as to which place would be more enjoyable on New Year’s Eve/Day. We’re also open to other destinations as long as they are all within driving distance from Tucson. Thank you!

I have heard that there is racism towards white people in New Mexico. Is this true? Im looking to move to the Santa Fe area, and I was just curious to know if this is a big problem. Thanks

We currently live in Maryland (DC subburb). We may seek part-time, semi-retirement employment while in New Mexico.

I was wondering if there is any truth to this and would Santa Fe, Rio Rancho or Espanola be any better?

Q-mama asked: I know this isn’t the right place for this question, but YA has no categories for New Mexico and my question got lost in the “general” category. Can anyone recommend a good custom cake shop in Santa Fe, NM? I need to make a unique cake for a big 70th birthday event. I know restaurants in the area, but I don’t know any bakeries/cake shops. Please recommend any place you have used who can make a delicious and attractive custom design. Provide website if you can. Thank you.
**Yahoo, you need sections in dining, travel, local biz for all 50 states! C’mon.
